I have probably had ADD for some time now. I was prescribed Concerta back 12 years ago. It worked initially and eventually stopped working. I gave up and totally stopped any treatment. I think the condition always bothered me, I was just able to suppress it better. I also think I was better able to compensate for my condition. Just recently, within the past 6 months to a year my ADD has been unbearable. So I sought treatment from a therapist for some depression and a psychiatrist for ADD medication management. I opted for the concerta again and it worked initially and stopped working. I am currently taking Focalin, I really don't like it that much. It makes me feel terrible and it doesn't give me a feeling of focus. So now I wonder if a non stimulant would be the way to go. I also read the thread about Vyvanse so maybe that as well. I need to find another doctor to manage my medication. The practice I go to is closing. It doesn't appear she is going on her own. I am thinking of asking my neurologist to manage the meds. I would appreciate any medication suggestions. I am sure there a vast amount of knowledge on this subject here on this forum. Thanks taking the time to read my tread.
