I also have ADHD. I was newly diagnosed in later life so my experience with stimulants will be different as my metabolism is slower now. I have tried Ritalin immediate release and didn't like it. It made me feel edgy but without too much focus help. You mentioned Concerta as that is the longer acting Ritalin I believe. My doc switched me over to Adderall XR but the dosage was too high and it made me hyper focus to much. So now I am on Adderall immediate release and I take it two times a day and I am doing Ok. I have never tried Strattera or wellbutrin or any of the other meds for ADD.
I think a new doc should allow you to experiment with the meds so you can find the right med for you. Vyvance has a good reputation but I have never tried it. Ask your new doc for a different med as he or she should be open to this.
