well I live alone and never clean my home but it is not a mess. the dining table is cluttered from dropping the mail and such on it and that is where I 'save' stuff and it is dusty and has cobwebs here and there but I don't think that is so bad. I knew I was lazy when I moved in so I purposely did not stock up on stuff that would create a mess. I bought 3 plates, 3 bowls, cups, and a four pack of silver wear. this way I would have to do dishes. but I buy paper plates and red solo cups and use those so I only have to wash silverware. I make sure garbage makes it to the trash. I have a small trash can next to my chair in the livingroom as well for my napkins and water bottles. I clean my toilet every couple weeks. it only takes one minute. I keep Clorox wipes in the bathroom and when the dirt builds up in the sink I grab one of them and wipe it out or sprinkle comet in it and use the toilet brush. again, it takes less than a minute. I have Clorox foaming spray that I spray all over the tub evry now and then and that seems to work. I have only scrubbed it, again, comet and the toilet brush, twice in the over two years that I have been here. when I pick up my mail I take it straight to the kitchen and automatically sort it straight into the trash and opem the bills and only save the part I need to pay them and throw out the rest. I have a dirty clothes bin at the foot of my bin and the clothes go straight into it instead of on the floor when they come off. I just stay to a routine. clothes have a place. trash goes in the trash, dishes go in the sink and get washed once a week and I eat mostly microwave and that gets thrown away so dishes don't build up, when dirt builds up and gets noticeable, I wipe it up. it really doesn't take that long. my bathroom is small. when the dust and hair builds up along the baseboard on the bathroom floor I can grab a wipe and swipe it up while I am on the toilet. less than 30 seconds. hope this helps.
