My mindset kind of goes like this. Parents: overcoming this illness is going to be very, very, difficult. Thoughts in my head: it's that hard? I can't even do easy things, why would I even try to do this? I just can't get out of this mindset, it seems like the truth in your head, but people say that your thoughts are distorted and not true.

Someone once told me that our thoughts and emotions are ok to have, but to remember that this is all they are- thoughts and emotions- not fact, or a permanent state of being. The question still remains, how do I stop them from affecting me so much? ... I can't figure that part out.
