Sorry to hear about the ancle .. i know how much "fun" that is

But if there is anything i've learned from all my injuries is ICE ICE ICE!!! lol, honestly i swear ice can make anything feel better! (well within reason!) 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off. Do that whenever you can in intervals of 2 or 3 and it will help with the pain and the swelling.
