Have you ever heard about Boundaries ? They are used to keep your life in good shape ... Not allowing people to talk you into things you don't want to do etc..
When your friends say " oh you would be happy with him" .. Your response should be I am not interested in him he was only someone I added to my facebook , Thank you for your comments and opinion but I am just not interested at all " Simple solution .
This is a good way to learn how to handle people you meet online or real life... Look into learning boundaries and how to use them ..its something you will be using all your life ..
Be safe who you allow onto your Facebook and it something feels wonky just delete them..
If his friends "hunt" you down just delete them also .. If they actually know you in real life .. call the police and get a restraining order ..
Keep in mine YOU have control over Facebook and all the drama that comes with it .. Maybe you need to review your list of "friends" and delete and block ones that are a problem.
