I don't think any of us willy nilly just wake up one day and decide we will take happy pills. It is a difficult decision.
If you didn't have luck with Prozac or Zoloft (SSRI's) I would suggest one of the SSNRI's like Effexor, Pristiq, Fetzima, or Cymbalta, or even Wellbutrin.
You have to take it four to six weeks to see if it will work and get over any side effects you may have. Usually they go away. If the side effects are just unbearable you have to call the doc and discuss it and maybe try another one. If you get a rash or hives or any kind of allergic reaction stop right away. Those are rare. That's kinda how it goes.
