For me it's usually afternoon and evening. In the morning I need to get the chickens up, take care of the dogs, feed the cat. That gets me outside and moving around, which distracts me from my thoughts. My husband works graveyard shift, so he's asleep by 2 p.m. and gone all night, and sitting at home alone allows me too much time to brood.
