I think it would depend if they carry a title. For example I don't think an lcsw can be friends with you on facebook or after therapy for at least five years. Even then it's frowned upon. With this said, anyone can practice therapy. So if they aren't licensed then they don't have a license to lose and it won't matter to them as much.
