You know, I'd never noticed myself do this until last night. I was watching something on TV and somebody pronounced query as though it had an 'a' instead of an 'e' and I sat there saying it over and over again for a good ten minutes. If it hadn't been for the discussion in this thread I wouldn't have even really noticed.
