Hi, I'm a 20 year old girl studying abroad in Ireland and have been suffering from the most severe anxiety I've ever faced thus far, mostly related either to the current terrorism in Iraq or travelling in general. I'd dealt with depression for the last 10 years, but the anxiety about terror/travel didn't begin until after I'd paid to study abroad. It's gotten to the point where I want to cancel a trip to rome because of a headline I saw. Even seeing a headline related to terror sends me into a spiral where I can't breathe and feel sick.

Sometimes I want to go home, but know it'll be even worse there. I've always been a runner and find that that helps for a few hours. Also I have a therapist at home and will be seeing one on my Irish campus next week. until then, what can I do or tell myself to calm my anxiety when it hits? I've been avoiding the news as much as possible, but enough slips in and I want to stop living in fear. Thank you.
