Nope, you're not asking too much at all, Sept.

Just click into the first forum you WANT to view and go to the bottom of the page and select "add/remove favorite forum". Do that with all the forums you want to view. When you're done select "show favorite forums" and you'll view all those you selected.

This way you won't have to view those that you don't want to.
