Has anyone on here discharged student loans due to "total and permanent disability," and then returned to school? If so, did that effect your ability to get funding?

Since I'm on SSDI, I've been told that I can discharge some of my student debt. Problem is, I hope to go back to school someday. Whether or not I will be able to is another story, I just don't want to seal that door shut.
