It happened to me once and yes I was irritated. The man was large enough that he took up half the space of my seat too. I spent the flight bent sideways over the arm of my seat. I wasn't irritated about the man's weight. I was irritated that I had to spend the entire flight in a very uncomfortable position because he took up my seat space.
