Welcome, I went through the process of getting into transitional services back in 1985, my paperwork and all i needed done to get out of the pshyc ward was done by the social workers as i was unable to do it myself. Needless to say i did enjoy my time in the house i was put into and after abut a year they had several homes and apartments available to live on my own with the supervision once in a while.This is in NY state. I actually think it'd be much easier to find some type of housing specifically for someone who's dual like me if I checked myself in to a psych ward .. I actually went to the local crisis center last week, and for some reason they wouldn't commit me

the only thing is that I don't officially have insurance so they would send me to Trenton Psych (state), which is fine and all because there are SO many community resources when you're released, anddd I can be on my methadone the whole time .. only problem is that you can't smoke on campus anymore. Yeah, stupid excuse, but I need my smokes and I'm not trying to quit anytime soon.
