Good God, they don't know about something as simple as that. There are articles about visual migrains on Wikipedia, WebMD, etc. Maybe calling it the proper name, Acephalic Migraine, would help, they might know it by that.
Or, they might remember as much of the neurology they took in med school/nursing school as I remember of the 3 years of Russian I took in my first undergrad 30 years ago - which is diddly squat.
