Whilst on the subject of 5HTP. Does anyone have any experience of side effects. I was disappointed to read in my research that 'decreased sexual feeling' can be a side effect. This is one of the reasons I hate SSRi's. Don't get me wrong ! I'm not a maniac or anything ! but I just find there is something fundamentally wrong in being switched off like that. I did however see one report of increased desire !
What about other side effects ? and do they decrease appetite ? I need to lose 10 pounds (caused by other a/d's) to get back down to my correct weight. SSRI's decrease my appetite in the short term, but, like the libido, I don't want to suddenly start to dislike food !
