this was really helpful, thanks

Structural dissociation now has evidence of neuroscans which differ between ANPs and EPs, and cannot be mimicked by those without DID. The research is by Schlumpf and is free to copy & distribute as long as it's credited to PLOSOne.

Schlumpf, Y.R.; Reinders, A. A., Nijenhuis, E. R., Luechinger, R., van Osch, M. J., Jäncke, L. (2014). Dissociative Part-Dependent Resting-State Activity in Dissociative Identity Disorder: A Controlled fMRI Perfusion Study. PloS one, volume 9, issue 6, 6 June 12, 2014. (doi:10.1371/journal.pone.0098795)

similar articles are cited on Lab tests - Dissociative Identity Disorder, Dissociation and Trauma Disorders and Reinders has a few on her own website.
