Well, so much for progress.
Today they had to put her back on the respirator and dialysis. My brother spoke with the transplant doctor this morning, and she said this happens in about 30 percent of the cases after a stem cell transplant. Before the transplant, they were told there was a 3 to 5% change she wouldn't survive which is way better odds than not treating the cancer. They tried several other treatments before deciding on the transplant but none of them worked for long.
I am still optimistic but I'm beginning to realize this is going to be a roller-coaster ride for quite a while yet, it seems.
Thanks again, everyone!
Blessings,

WW
