I think, if you're going to ask her :-) it's only fair if you ask her the entire question as you asked here, tell her what you're wondering, so she has some clues what you are wishing for? Worded as "what if. . ." doesn't give any clues where you're coming from or wishing to go. However, if you said, "How would you feel if. . ." I doubt seriously she'd let you down :-) I think T's try to pay attention to the emotion/action happening. Answering "how would you feel" with a non sequitur about not time for you to leave therapy. . . does not sound likely to me. However, she could "counter" :-) with "why do you ask?" or some other clarifying question (maybe not "why" as those usually aren't helpful questions to ask).
