Any software you use online you should be wary of in terms of writing long posts into a box (which can take 10, 20 or even 30 minutes to compose), and then hoping for the best. 99% of the time, it will go through without a problem. But that 1% of the time will be the most frustrating.

Whenever I know I want to write something more than a paragraph long, I compose it in Word or a word processor on my computer. Then when I'm done and see it's exactly as I wanted it, I copy and paste it into the box. That way I always have a copy of the post if something goes wrong posting it online...

Sorry for your troubles, though! Wish computers/Internet/websites were more reliably reliable!
