Mentally stable people tend to be on an even keel. They don't have extreme highs or extreme lows. The generally tend towards a calm feeling of wellness. They say what they mean and they mean what they say. They are trustworthy. They have a sense of their own limitations and possibilities. They care about others but they care about themselves too.

I have observed plenty of mentally stable people who aren't exactly trustworthy..or always mean what they say. I don't think being without mental issues makes one a prime example of humanity per say...
