30.... wow... well, I'm a little bored so will give this a go

1. Not smoked (occasional cigar) in 9 years but been chewing nicotine gum since I quit
2. I sang on TV in front of Princess Diana when I was in a cathedral choir and shook her hand after
3. I am and was then agnostic... my mum (atheist) insisted I got some knowledge of religion to make up my own mind.
4. Related to #3 I would also ring the cathedral's bells and they scared the hell out of me... was about 5 stone at the time and some of the bells went up to a ton in weight.
5. I lived in China for 4 years teaching English as a foreign language.
6. My favourite Sci-fi series is Firefly and even after all these years I still sigh over it being cancelled
7. My eyes are star burst with hazel directly around the iris and blue after that.
8. I am red/green colour blind
9. As a kid (5+) I would go on solo explorations.... and my parents would get calls when some responsible adult found me; baring in mind my dad was in the forces, the language barrier could prove an issue lol.
10. I accidently broke my cats tail when I was a toddler after my dad asked me to shut the door....
11. I think I once saw a ghost of a cat when I was 11 on the stairs of a house we lived in that dated back to the 17th century
12. In relation to Zwangsstörung answer on peeing, I'm the opposite... had a stricture of the urethra several years back (meaning my pee was a thin stream to a trickle) so now it's fixed... I love the deep thrum off it hitting the water
13. I hate this number... one of the few superstitions I have (other is walking under street signs and ladders)
14. I am fascinated by stars... kinda sucks living in a city as the light pollution prevents me from seeing any but the brightest.
15. My mum taught me to touch type by getting a cardboard box, cutting out holes and putting it over my hands... seemed very old school but did the job.
16. Have a bachelors degree despite being told by school teachers that education was not my strength.
17. Have always preferred self taught methods to regimental ones.
18. I get disappointed when certain things I'm passionate go over the head of the people I'm talking too as they (my favourite things) are a bit obscure in their nerdiness.
19. I love the fact that Stephen King was heavily influenced by H.P Lovecraft
20. My favourite movie of all time has to be Alien... with the reason being that it was so finely crafted and timeless. To watch it, it's hard to believe that it was made in 1979 (if you ignore a couple of special effects issues... i.e. an explosion near the end).
21. I used to have to go school by getting on a hovercraft.
22. Not really phobic but have an aversion to needles... but that's because a student nurse once bent two needles in both my arms trying to draw blood and I passed out.
23. My mum taught me a mind over matter technique as a child to reduce the pain of migraines... now I get all the warning triggers and tension... but none of the pain.
24. After a big operation when I was 9, I stupidly picked at the stitches while in the bath... shouted (calmly) to my mum that I thought I had a problem... she screamed and then passed out when she saw the blood
25. I had a tendency towards doing stupid things when I was younger... though to me it was more curiosity of 'what happens if I do this?'... thankfully I was not a Darwin award.
26. Another example to this - sticking my head out of a train window after my mum told me not to (was out of her line of sight).... and simultaneously crapping myself and jumping back as a train came hurtling towards me from the other way
27. Somehow I have yet to break any bones (I don't consider ribs to count).
28. I have never had the wish to drive and as a result have kept up my love of walking and cycling.
29. To fall asleep I need to day dream.
30. I found this really hard towards the end.
