is it that when you think about being that close to her you get the urge to push her away (so that is what has changed)

or...

is it that when you think about being that close to her you don't get the urge to push her away... it is just that you don't need her to be THAT close to you in order to feel connected to her?

change either way...

but i'm not sure on the nature of the change.
