Hey Whispers,

I agree with what you said about perspective. I've recently learned the importance of reviewing what I have and what I haven't got - and sometimes even comparing it to others around the world in order to see the grander picture beyond my own self diminishing thought processes. I find it extremely helpful. Obviously when we are in the midst of an all out emotional wave - we cannot hope to do this to calm ourselves down - but I get what you mean.

I find this perspective checking to be most helpful in those daily - painful moments of our BPD lives - which make up the most of our time spent on earth (unfortunately) - when we get stuck in our heads with negative thoughts that feast on our soul and make for a terrible brew of potentially disastrous and negative events...

Urrrrrr. Life.

I wish we didn't have to deal with things the way we do, but I know it could be far worse than it is. Thank you for reminding me of this fact.
