However, I have experienced what you've mentioned. and yes, the med can cause that. It's a stimulant which can have a tendency to activate the adrenline senses.. I'm no doctor, but in my own experience, it could of just been the dose you were on. possibly too high. if your on any other meds, it could be affecting it, or if you take in any other stimulants (caffiene- even the mildest form in chocolate can have an effect). I'm unsure why the pdoc would completely stop you on it with nothing to take it's place. vyvanse is one that can't be "used" like the others can be. so it is usually more prescribed (from what i've been told by one of my pdocs in the past). there are different affecting stimulants.
When i had that mad experience, i was on way too many stimulants. I was unable to control myself, and my hand ended up in(and against) the nearest surface(dresser, walls, etc.) quite frequently (and i'm normally a person without anger. all of my anger turns inward on myself and shows up as depression). They had me on 190mg of strattera a day, 70mg of vyvanse a day, 20 mg of ritalin two times a day, and cymbalta 90mg two times a day. - oh and seroquil 25mg three times a day, and 50mg at bedtime. (aka, their way to over medicate me, and then try to cover it with a tranquilizer). and anger/violent wasn't the only extra things i was experiencing...
are you able to express your concerns on this with your pdoc? its possible that he/she may think the only solution to that is to not be on any. it also could be possible that he/she is waiting for the stimulant to get out of your system completely before trying you on another. but it could also be a different reason(s)..

WOW you were on a lot of uppers! I was only on 7.5 mg of Adderall and it caused anger issues for me. I don't see my pdoc for another 6 weeks so he may not be intending to replace the stimulant. I am older and my metabolism is much slower so higher doses are too much for me. Since I feel a bit depressed, he upped my remeron from 15 to 30 mg. He likes to do one thing at a time. I may or may not bring up asking for another med for my ADHD. For now I am feeling more tired, irritable and depressed. Maybe I am withdrawing from the Adderall as I stopped it just the other day.
Thanks as your experience helped!!
