Well, that particular link was really focusing on "bullying" and how much stress that can cause to a person psychologically.

Shame, embarrassment, guilt, and fear are encouraged by the bully, for this is how all abusers, including child sex abusers, control and silence their victims.

Well, in all honesty, I have noticed in different struggling members that this kind of dysfunction took place in their home environment. And it also happened to me when I broke down after suffering so much loss. Surprisingly I was treated as though I should be ashamed and feel guilty that I struggled. People don't choose to develop PTSD, PTSD is a stress breadown which is a psychiatric injury, which is considered a "normal" reaction to a very stressful situation or sudden loss.

It is so important to take the time to "listen" to a person who is struggling and "not" jump to conclusions about a person being disordered or bipolar or any other diagnosis that would not be accurate or helpful to the person who is genuinely struggling from a stress breakdown/injury/PTSD.
