I know for a fact who it was because I spoke to her today. I asked her why she took ALL of the roses off the bush and she said she was "deadheading." BAH! I had deadheaded that bush the day before. There was not one single rose left that had loose petals. When the petals around the outside start to wilt, I add extra life to the rose by plucking the wilted ones. My FIL taught me how to do that, among other things.

I still think it was an extremely glutonous and selfish act on her part. She took every single rose off that bush! Jerry helped me put up my sign. I doubt that it will stop HER from doing again, though.

The huge peace rose is loaded with buds and will be in full bloom any day now. I may go sit amongst my rose bushes with a shotgun! LOL I can pick me off a possum or two at the same time. Too bad I'd be hauled off to jail if I did.

Oh, yes! And she whacked at that bush as if the roses were long stemmed. Cut WAAAY down on the branch. I doubt that those branches will bloom again this year, if they even grow. Jerry is of the same opinion.

I've been trying to think that maybe she took the roses to a cemetery but it hasn't helped me much. Not when they have pickups by the side of the road that sell a dozen roses for $5!!
