Can I ask why one 'farms' them?
There are quite a few alpaca farms springing up round here. Their wool is great ... I plan to knit another alpaca-wool scarf for this winter :> It is yummy.

Well nowadays, they aren't worth anything but elk antlers are very high in testosterone they are used in many forms as a testosterone supplement.
I am really not sure why we have the buffalo farm, but they are amazing animals and their meat is excellent. It has a little more flavor than beef and is more tender and has lower fat content.
I also used to have an alpaca farm and I had alpaca socks for the winter, I love their wool!!
