Hi NotGivingUpYet, I recently had 6 weeks of TMS (ended on 9/3/14) . The first day was horrible for me but it got a little better after a few weeks. Although it was still painful, so bad that my head would go numb most of the time. BUT we found out half way through that my head was not sitting on the head rest properly. This was due to their failure to explain to me how to sit in the chair during the MT Hunt. After we repositioned and did another MT hunt it was no longer painful and my head did not go numb.
You may want to have them look at the positoning. Also like TheWell said, it may be the strength. They had to slowly move me from 90% to 120% until I got used to it.
One question, does your right hand move during the pulses? If so I would ask them to make changes since the pulses should not make your arms or hands move. It IS OK to have your face or eye brow twitch during the pulses.
On another note, I did feel pain in my neck and back, like shooting pains all through treatment. I was also always lightheaded. They told me they didn't think the shooting pain had anything to do with the TMS but after treatment finished the pain went away completely so I am convinced it was the TMS.
Knowing all of that I would do it again because it did help me somewhat. I hope to do a Booster of 15 sessions. Hopefully I'll be in remission by then.
Good luck you you. I really hope you can get through it without the pain. I also hope it rids you of the depression!
