Hi everyone. Today at school (I'm in a medical physiology master's program) we practiced taking each other's blood pressure. Mine was higher than it has ever been, and the cardiologist overseeing the lab told me that I should go see my PCP for anti-hypertensive medication. My mood has been rather elevated since yesterday. I had a fitness assessment last Thursday, and my blood pressure was normal. I was down then (I cycle really rapidly).

I'm just wondering if anyone has noticed a correlation between their mood and their blood pressure? I might be finding connections where there are none (my last therapist said I was good at that ), but the brain is a very powerful organ that influences the rest of the body heavily. I could see mania causing high blood pressure, just because manic people are just so energized and hyped up...
