Hi everybody,
I would like to solicit opinions on sleep-tracking / sleep-analyzing devices and gadgets of any kind. Earlier, I tried looking for opinions on Beddit, to no avail, but right now just want to do a general survey for my mental health advocacy page. Opinions on FB and on here are equally welcome. Note that this is just about gadgets; I would be doing a separate post on manual sleep tracking with its pros and cons.

Here is the text of the post:
One of the key issues living well with bipolar disorder is sleep. Major depression comes with its own set of sleep issues as well, be it early awakenings with dark thoughts or hypersomnia when a person sleeps for 12-16 hours day. Anxiety presents sleep challenges of its own, such as frequent awakenings with a sense of impending catastrophe or inability to fall asleep because of incessant worry.
We would like to find out if modern gadgets that promise to record and analyze duration and quality of sleep make life easier for those suffering from mood and anxiety disorders.
If you use Beddit, FitBit, or another device or gadget with a similar purpose, we would love to hear from you. If you are not comfortable posting your impressions in the comments to this post, which, of course, is totally understandable, please send a private message and we will post your observations and your advice to others, if you have it, without your name or other identifying information. Many thanks for contributing!
