Are you talking regular medical hospital or psych hospital? My last two visits to regular hospital they told me the standard was 72 hours although they let mW go after two days both times. They are considering putting me in a state hospital which could be anywhere from 2 weeks to six months. But that's because I'm extremely sick and my thoughts just aren't going away.
