I know where you're coming from. Something like Ebola feeds directly into my mistrust of nature and human race as a whole. Recently I sort of see that the horrifying (fear, ignorance, greed, stupidity) and the inspirational and courageous are both always there. From what I understand, Ebola is very severe and scary, but it is also quite stoppable (it was totally stopped in Nigeria, for instance). Maybe this can be a wake-up call. It could be much much worse.
