I once had this feeling for about 5 days. My doctor called it viral labyrinthitis. I didn't take any medication for it because I wasn't nauseated. All I did was lay down when it got really bad and avoided bending over since that would cause me to fall.
There is a treatment that involves moving the body and head. An ENT can do this. I'm not sure what the procedure is called. My friend's girlfriend had it done in the ER and apparently it cured her.
I also have TMJ and get intermittent tinnitus. It has never caused vertigo, just nasty headaches.
If you have a family history of MS you should get checked. Pins and needles can be caused by many different conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, which can also affect the feet, and vitamin deficiencies.
When was the last time you had a physical?
