In my country ( Central Europe) private therapist make a lot of money. The amount people pay for one hour is insane compared to other jobs. But their training is expensive so usually they have hight loans by the time they finish their studies.
A lot of therapists are booked and there is high demand for them so I guess they can put the prices high and still get enough clients.
It is very different story with insurance Ts they are overworked and underpaid. And Pdocs are worse off too as they are under the medical system mostly which again overworks them for little in return.
