Hector was one of the dogs rescued from Michael Vick's "farm." Hector went on to become a therapy dog. He has cancer and had an appointment yesterday to be put down. He told his people that he wasn't ready to go and they listened!

For anyone interested in learning more about the dogs rescued from Vick, there's a great book titled "Lost Dogs" by Jim Gorant. Some of the early parts of the book dealing with the abuse are very difficult to read, but the overall tone is positive.
