I know what you mean. I see life as one "challenge" after another. I just try to deal with it, assuming I am likely to drop some mail, the cat is going to make a mess, I am going to stub my toe, the water on the stove is going to slop over, etc.--and be glad when these things don't happen!
I read somewhere that it's the little stressors adding up that cause more difficulties for people than a big stressful event.
