most GRE administrators have a practice exam you can take to see where you stand. somebody gave me part of their study kit, but all I used was the flash card to learn the definitions of words...not like any of them came up on the GRE,,,lol...you could get the same benefit from getting the word a day from dictionary.com.... otherwise I did nothing to study for it and I scored like an 1100 on it. not to be arrogant....I am smart...a 4.0 student but I took it in 2008 with my last math and English classes when I got my aa degree in 84. oh I did look up geometry stuff like how to find area and circumference and angles of different shapes because that was on the practice test. I know when I was applying for my grad program, they said they wanted 1000, but after evaluating all the other criteria for the program, they still accepted people even when they got 600 on their GRE....good luck!
