I have been on Mirtazapine 15 mg for about 2 months without any problems.....until my pdoc upped my dosage to 30 mg and I became hypomanic in a week. I do not have a mood disorder any other time not on anti-depressants. This happened to me 18 years ago on a similar anti-depressant. I have now noticed that I get anti-depressant induced mania.

The other antidepressant was Doxepin. It is an older generation tricyclic AD. Mirtazapine is a tetracyclic antidepressant and they are similar except for a slight difference in their chemical makeup.

Has anyone else had this type of experience?
