I can't remember what antidepressant I took 14 years ago that kicked me into mania. It could have been Remeron. I only remember that it caused me to gain a whole lot of weight, so I wouldn't touch it now with a ten-foot celery stick.
Thanks TL..... My pdoc thought I had bipolar but it only happens when certain AD's kick in. I read somewhere that this occurrence is a type of bipolar....It is not really bipolar in any true sense of the word but there are more types of bipolar than just I and II. Psychiatry is a strange science.

I also have to take small doses of meds. I am actually dreading telling my pdoc that the remeron did this to me. I am afraid he will think it is bipolar. I really don't think that I have bipolar but who knows. I am up late and I don't like to wind down and go to bed. It could just be that I am a night owl as I worked the graveyard shift many years.
