Anyone else has this? I am SO done with this terrible disease! I thought you could only get eczema as a baby but I contracted it in my late teens, where it began as regular eczema on the inner crook of my right elbow before flaring up on my right pinkie. I got Neoderm and some pills from my GP and this subsided the patch on my arm but did nothing for my finger. In winter it would crack and bleed and just be so obscenely painful (to feel and look at). Around April it "spread" to my right middle finger but it was only the mildest of drying/flaking skin. I couldn't take chances so I went back to the GP (though I had wanted to see a dermatologist) and he prescribed a stronger corticosteroid (Diprocel) with Physiogel Hypoallergenic AI Cream, which cleared up my pinkie but was completely useless on my middle finger. I had feared this would happen because it seems like new medications only helped with the old eczema but had no visible effect on the new one.
What should I do? If any of you have had experiences with this, I'd love to hear. I'm beginning to notice it on my palm too and this is honestly freaking me out. Right now my middle finger's so swollen the skin splits wide open and bleeds when I bend/straighten it. It hurts like a mofo when I touch water or any chemicals like shampoo/handwash so even washing my hair becomes a time-consuming chore. This is disgusting and severely interfering with my life. T__T (and not helping with my MH issues)
