It doesn't touch the bipolar mood swings. I could be wrong, but I've read that bipolar is more of a problem with dopamine, which is why antipsychotics work. Since antidepressants work on seratonin, they don't do much for bipolars except maybe make them nervous, and sometimes manic.
That is very interesting to learn; I had no idea that seratonin based antidepressants could actually increase nervousness in some. Do you think doctors misdiagnose bipolar people with depression?
