If done well, t should be challenging, educating, directive, and work. If it is like talking to friend or someone, not real therapy. I had several t's like that and it was waste of my time. T should be touching on issues as stated above and you should not always feel good when leaving. What approach does your t use? I seem to do better with eclectic instead of DBT, DBT, gestalt, systems, or existential. To straight or direct and I become bored, disgruntled or plaing angry. I like when the t can move with me and adjust like my moods adjust. Wish you the best and will be thinking about ya.
