So, what I’m thinking is that because my mother became a sort of general parental figure after my father’s death and because I have so many issues with her, I’m subconsciously looking for the kind of mother that I've always wanted. I find it in teachers and professors because they’re the people who have touched my life the most, and I connect strongly with them because I’m a good, eager student who’s seemingly normal and personable.
