Totally feel you on this ... I was diagnosed with SJD and arthritis (spine, lower back and sacrum, hips, shoulders, etc.) last year. At that time the pain had become so bad I was ready to request euthanasia!

It's some better now, but I've had to make drastic modifications to my lifestyle and have learned to limit activities that aggravate it - saving that kind of exertion for only those things I feel it's worth being in excruciating pain by the end of the day for.

Three of those things are:

1. Casual stroll at local botanical gardens a few times a month.

2. My weekly psychotherapy appointment (Her office is upstairs).

3. Occasional outings with good friends a handful of times a year.

I'm sorry that you are struggling with this issue too as few people can understand exactly how painful it is and how out of kilter your whole body feels because of it!

When I'm feeling more humorous about it I liken it to Rice Krispies but instead of going snap, crackle, pop, it goes grate, grind & crunch!

And a comparison I use to describe it to others is those push button puppets because sometimes it feels just like they look when you've depressed that button and they fall all akimbo then when you release it they stand back up!

Gentle Hugs To You!
