If you are struggling with insomnia, I would suggest asking your GP for a sleep study.
There was a point where I really struggled with sleep, at one point going 3 weeks without any sleep. My GP was trying to help with different sleep meds, but nothing was working. I asked for a sleep study and discovered I had sleep apnea in addition to only making it to the second stage of sleep. Once we had that info I was able to receive treatment for both and now, for the most part, sleep well.
