Actually that sounds pretty chic...mid length hair is very 'in' at the moment. I'm sorry she didn't obide by your wishes though. I guess all you can do is think of the positives...your hair won't be as damaged due to the weight of it, you can wash it easier, it will have more volume and therefore look more youthful. Why don't you dye it or something so it's at least the colour you want it to be? Or experiment with different ways of putting it up so at least you feel better about the practicality of it.

At least you've learned your lesson and as long as it looks professionally done you'll know to go to someone else to get the style right next time.
