I have to share some of my experience with Latuda. I was on it from August of '13 to May of '14. When it was introduced into my drug cocktail it started erasing my memories, in a manner which was on par with serious head injuries.

I was unaware at first. (How do you remember what you've forgotten?) It came to light while I was having a conversation with my sister. She was talking about something as if I already knew the story. It turned out I was part of the story. I had no recollection of it but there were photos on my cellphone that clearly showed I had been there.

This will sound stupid, but I didn't stop taking Latuda right then and there because I was feeling better on the drug. The return of Restless Leg Syndrome was bad but I was willing to put up with it. (I assume this was my version of Akathisia.) I told my psychiatrist about the memory loss but she felt it was due to a different drug.

Meanwhile, my family and friends were extremely scared about what it might be doing to my brain if it was erasing (or perhaps not recording) memories. Also, people were regularly having to retell stories and conversations.

I started to step myself down off of it soon after I discovered I couldn't recall the name of one of my favorite albums. (I'm a music nut.) That was unacceptable. My doctor agreed with my decision.
I'm missing a lot of memories now. I have no way of knowing what got "deleted" from my brain...

My case seems unusual but I feel I should share it in case anyone else encounters memory loss from taking this drug.
