I just skimmed it. I can see how it might be offensive in the way it is written.
It is concepts we should strive for. Practice practice practice.
My favorite prayer is the serenity prayer.
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
That last part can be the hardest.
